Learning how to love yourself and be confident it’s not an easy thing to do. But it’s a must if you want to live the happy life you desire. How can you expect to live a happy and fulfilling life if you’re not happy with yourself?

Sometimes the image you have of yourself it’s not actually true. It’s mostly made up by your limiting beliefs you gathered over the years.

If you’re looking to gain confidence and self esteem you first have to make peace with yourself.

You keep hearing and reading everywhere that you should love yourself but you have no idea how to start? Check out these tips for gaining more confidence, build self esteem and learning to LOVE YOURSELF!

Say I Love You!

You treat others with so much care and you do anything you can to make them happy. But what happens when it comes to you?

How come you treat others so nicely but you’re always hard with yourself? Learn to love, respect and appreciate yourself. Treating your body with love and care and always taking care of yourself should become a daily habit for you.

If you don’t love yourself how can you expect others to do it? How can you expect them to do something that you’re not doing?

Make Peace With Yourself

Some time ago I spoke with a friend who told me “I like how I think but I don’t like myself.” When I asked him “why don’t you like yourself?” He said “because of my weaknesses”.

He’s a great guy with a lot of potential but his attitude toward himself drag him down.

The most important thing you must do in life is to be happy with who you are. And happiness won’t come by hating yourself. Focusing on your weaknesses and letting them drag you down it’s not the way to go. You’ll only amplify them.

Learn To Love Your Body

Look… you have this body you live in. A body that keeps you alive every single day. Stop hurting yourself. We all have good parts and not so good ones. Learn to love both and work on improving every day. Work on what you can change!

So you want to lose weight? Well that weight won’t just vanish over night while you’re eating unhealthy food lying down on the couch. Get active!

Stop finding reasons not to do it and limiting yourself. Pick an activity you’d like and do it. Change your eating habits too.

Switch to a healthier lifestyle. Of course it’s much easier to find reasons not to do it, blame it on others, not make a change and continue to feel depressed and miserable but… it’s your choice how you want to spend your life.

You have to want it bad enough to really put some work in. It won’t happen over night. It will take some time but YOU CAN do it!

Be Yourself, The Real YOU!

Stop trying to be someone you’re not, trying to fit in what others think, want or need.  You are unique!

Every day, every moment you keep on searching for validation from others to be something you don’t even like, just to fit in. To feel accepted.

And all of these for people you might not even like and who won’t give a damn about you.

Let your true light sparkle and surround yourself with people who like you for who you really are. And yes! Those wonderful people do exist. But you won’t find them by wasting your time with the ones who drag you down.

How To Always Be Positive and Happy

So you want to learn how to always be positive and happy in life? Let’s face it. It’s not always easy.

Thinking positive won’t keep problems away from you. But, don’t underestimate the power of positive thinking. A positive mindset, if you know how to use it, can be a great tool for improving your life.

Positive thinking it’s not about ignoring reality or the problems and situations in your life. Having a positive mind is actually more realistic than being negative. We often get in our own way by overthinking and complicating things. Soon you lose sight of what’s really important in life.

Problems will always be around, but it’s easier and healthier to deal with them in a positive and productive way. It doesn’t do you any good if you’ll just stay negative about something, constantly thinking bad stuff over and over again and making worst case scenarios.

You’ll end up feeling bad, depressed and unhappy. Definitely not good for your health!

If your thoughts are negative your view on life will also be negative. Problems come and go for everyone. But embracing all with a positive attitude will help you manage difficult situations better.

And not only that you’ll manage things better but, it will help you keep your focus on what’s really  important and not ruin your health stressing out so much.

Positive thinking it’s a mental attitude. It doesn’t grow over night, but with patience and exercise you can manage to face your problems and difficult situations in an optimistic way.

It will help you see the hidden opportunities. You will make better decisions. It will keep you on track and help you take positive actions toward you goals. Each difficult situation you go through can teach you and help you improve and evolve in life.

Focusing on good will always bring you more good into your life.

Listen, doing this thing it’s not going to be easy. Those negative thoughts will try to come out. Especially when going through difficult situations. But you and only you can decide how much you let a difficult situation drag you down. Learn to see the successful outcome of difficult situations. If you give it a chance, positive thinking can seriously change you life!

How To Spend Christmas Alone And Be Happy

Alone on Christmas Day? There could be many reasons why you’re spending Christmas alone and no matter what reason you have I know one thing. Being alone on Christmas can be really frustrating. Seeing others really enjoying Christmas with the family, friends and love ones can easily get you depressed.

You are not alone! This time of year can be difficult for so many people. You’re not the only one who’s alone on Christmas Day.

Listen, spending Christmas alone it’s not easy! Sometimes, even if you’re not that lonely, things can be so overwhelming that you just can’t hold your tears any more. So let them go. Let it all out. It’s OK!  Believe it or not it will make you feel better.

But, here’s the thing…feeling lonely, wallowing in sadness and freaking out about those Christmas Days won’t make them any better. Come on, you’re smart enough to know it won’t change things.

Want to know who can change things? Here it is… YOU! Instead of crying out and being sad because you feel lonely why not make it a goal to make it different this year. Set a goal of making the best of that wonderful Christmas Day.

Make it a challenge to have a magnificent Christmas Day and be happy even if you’re alone! And here’s how you can do it:

Volunteer

When I was in high school, one of out teacher asked us to bring whatever we could ( toys, money, clothes ) for an orphanage in our town. We went with our teacher to that orphanage.

The smallest child at that orphanage was only a few months old, just a baby. When I saw that baby I realised that even if our gesture was small, that small gesture made a big difference for those kids that day. They were all so happy to see us.

There are plenty of ways you could help. Putting a smile on someone’s face on Christmas Day will make you feel awesome! Your effort, no matter how small, won’t be a waste of time.

Reach out to people who need you and offer your help.

Some churches organize different events for lonely or homeless people. Whether you’re religious or not, offer your help, you’ll feel great being part of a team, helping people and brighten their day.

Volunteer to foster animals

Those lovely souls need so much love and care and you’ll bring them so much joy by giving them a home and taking care of them. And guess what? They’re alone and just like you, would love to spend time with someone dear. Your love and care could save that little soul.

Open your heart and your home for a dog or a cat or…whatever animal you like. You might end up loving it so much that you’ll adopt it! You’ll make such a big difference in that animal’s life!  Just make sure you do some research before to know exactly what fostering an animal means.

Most organizations provide free training programs and enough resources for you to be able to care for whatever animal you’ll choose. You’ll learn new things, have great memories, meet new people, make new friends and help animals have a chance to a life…a happy life!

Adopt a pet

Want a wonderful present for life? It will not only brighten your Christmas Day but your whole life. There are so many beautiful souls that would love to have a home. Your lonely days will be gone and you’ll have a true friend for life who will enrich your life in ways you never thought were possible.

Give your time, love and care and in return you’ll receive unconditional love, true friendship and lots of happy days! Just imagine that puppy, dog, kitten, parrot or whatever animal you like greeting you happily when you come home!

A Christmas vacation just for YOU!

If you have some money in your pocket you could go on a Christmas vacation. There are so many to choose from. Pick the one you’ll like the most and have fun!

There are so many events during Christmas so why not go? Concerts, Christmas fairs, parties.

Even better if you live somewhere near the mountains or the sea, ocean…you won’t have to spend too much. A lot of people go to the mountains to spend Christmas. Some cities organize city lights tours.

You’ll have plenty of things to photograph, a panoramic view of the city under Christmas lights, the snow, the Christmas trees, meet new people, drink hot wine with cinnamon, sing songs, maybe make new friends and…you’ll have fun !

A vacation at home

If you can’t go on a vacation, have one home. Give yourself a new look! Something fresh and new will boost your mood. Just do whatever makes you happy! Spend a quiet day at home enjoying whatever you like. Or…have a party all for you. All your favorite food and drinks just for you. Don’t forget your favorite cake! ( But don’t overdo it ! Keep your heath in mind ).

Watch funny movies all day. Put your favorite music on and just enjoy the day! Do whatever makes you happy.

Decorate the house and make it as wonderful as you can!

Buy some presents for yourself and put them under your Christmas tree. If you have any pets, buy presents for them too! Just imagine how happy they will be.

Make a photo album of the year with your best and happiest moments!

Christmas cards

Send Christmas cards to people you know or simply call them to wish happy holidays. Some of those people could send you an invitation to spend Christmas with them.

Make new friends

On Christmas Day there are many organizations that offer Christmas dinner for who ever wants to come. So why not go and have a lovely time meeting new people and making new friends. Some even give free meals and presents! You could help organizing and taking part of everything or simply go and enjoy. Whatever makes you happy.

Explore the stores

Go shopping and get yourself something nice. Even if it’s just a small thing…do it! Some malls and stores even fairs are open on Christmas Day. They also organize different events so you’ll have a great time.

Go to a concert

There are so many during Christmas Days…find one that you like and enjoy it.

A party at work

Not everyone it’s free on Christmas Day…lots of people are working. I know this might sound sad but instead of staying all alone home, being with your co-workers might be what you need. Bring some food and drinks and party at work. Obviously you won’t work like a normal day. You might end up having a fantastic day!

No matter how you choose to spend your Christmas, focus on making your winter holidays as wonderful as you can. Just keep in mind that you’re not alone. You can always offer your help and share the joy with others.

Learn How To Let Go And Move On Easily

You know that feeling when it’s time to let go and move on but you just don’t want to? When instead of letting go you keep holding on to the past?

There comes a time when you realize that nothing is like it used to be and even though you know deep inside that things will never be the same again…instead of moving on, you hold on to those things like crazy.

You don’t want things to change. It scares you because you’re not used to the new situation, maybe you don’t like it and… it feels safe where you are.

But here’s the thing… some things will never be the same no matter how hard you try and how much you hope and wish for them to stay the same or, go back to the way they used to be.

It’s not your fault, it’s just life. And it’s OK. That’s how things work. They change, they evolve. Even you and your body change all the time. If you can change something, do it. If not, just let it go. Learn the lesson and move on.

Time goes by, things change, people change, life moves on and there is nothing you can do about it. You need to understand that there are things you can’t control in life. You need to detach emotionally from all those things that hold you back. Let go and move on.

Let Go And Move On

Stop living in the past and waste so much time thinking ” what if…”. If everything around you moved on why are you still there?

Holding on to things that don’t exist anymore it’s not the way to live.

Understand that the past can’t be changed, learn from it and find the strength to move on!

Life can be really amazing if only we could just try to see things a little different! Letting go and moving on can be the best thing for you. Don’t shut the door.

Embrace the new! Just be open to new opportunities, take a chance…it might be nothing, it might be something or it might be the ride of your life!

It’s not easy but time flies! What are you going to do about it? Sit in a corner, stuck in the past and all alone wishing and hoping while life goes by? Or move on to the life you deserve to live?

It’s all up to you!
You can’t control everything in your life but you can choose the way you react to each situation! And each choice you make shapes your life.

Learn from your past! Be thankful for everything in your life. Cherish the wonderful memories, forgive if you need to and move on.

Music

Go in your room, shut the door and turn up the music! What kind of music? Well many recommend calm music but I say play whatever music works for you. Really…just listen to anything you like. Pop, rock, house, classic, nature sounds…if it makes you feel better. One thing that goes great for me with music is housework or gardening . It makes me focus on other things and relax.

Friends

A friendly voice makes wonders when you really need to 🙂 2 friends even better. Talk, go out,  have some fun or just stay home and watch a film together.

Yes you! Let me say that again… YOU! You are the only person who has the real power. You are what you think. You know all those moments when your mind won’t shut up? All those bad thoughts keep coming and driving you crazy? You have the power to stop it! Focus your mind on something else, it doesn’t matter what just do it! It will take your mind off the problem. And this is very important…each time the thought comes back to your mind…ignore it. Don’t think about it!

Let go and move on 

Ask yourself if there it’s something you can do about it. Will that matter in 1 week, 1 month? 1 year? If it doesn’t depend on you, don’t worry about it. Accept things you can’t change. Some things just are the way they are.

Isn’t it funny when sometimes you think of someone or you really miss that person and the same day somehow that person calls you or you coincidentally meet?

How seeing that person or hearing his/her voice can make everything look better? You’re instantly happier and everything gets easier.

Always treasure people who care about you and who will stay by your side no matter what happens good or bad ! Those are people who really love you, people who you really have a connection with and deserve to be in your life.

For those who have such a wonderful person in their life…treasure them, tell them how much they mean to you and do the same for them.

For those who don’t have… I wish you all to find that person who will encourage and support you, the person you can rely on when you need to, who won’t judge what you do and will respect and believe in you.

Be Yourself And Be Happy

Don’t you just get sick and tired of trying to fit in? It’s not hard to be yourself and be happy. It’s easier than you think.

Looking around I see so many people who are trying  so hard to be someone they’re not just to fit in! Have you lost yourself?

You’re looking down like you’ve lost your hope but what you really want to do is walk like the whole world is yours and you’re in control. You just want to be happy.

And guess what? Only you have the power to make that happen.

I’ve always admired my dance teacher. When she enters the room, the way she walks, the way she looks and her attitude instantly makes everyone look at her. When she smiles and starts talking the atmosphere in the room gets so positive and full of life.

What’s her secret? Well… she’s just being herself. She loves what she’s doing, she loves herself, she’s confident and shows all of these in everything she does.

You know what people say? That attitude is everything? Well they are right. And this includes posture. The way you walk, the way you talk and pretty much every gesture you do… body language.

Having a great attitude and being confident doesn’t mean transforming in something you are not. You don’t just press the confidence button when you need it.

And this is the most important thing. By trying to look more confident some will try to copy and transform into another person. Why would you do that? Be yourself!

Fake it till you make it works most of the times but if it makes you someone you’re not… it’s not ok. It’s like wearing some clothes you don’t feel good in, but you wear them because you think they will make you look better in the eyes of other people.

You are unique! Stand up tall, stay true to yourself. Be spontaneous do what you love and enjoy every day. If you’re feeling happy with who you really are people will see that.

Accept your mistakes. Nobody’s perfect, we all make mistakes and today is a new day! Perfect for a fresh start.

Focus on positive things and move on. And most important… don’t let anyone define you.

Surround yourself with the right people and dismiss the ones who try to limit you. Don’t let criticisms bring you down. It’s your life, your destiny. Take control of your life and spend it the way you want not how others tell you.

Keep Your Body Healthy And Enjoy Life

Keep your body healthy! It’s your home where you have to live in.

Today, people are so busy running from one place to another, having stressful days, sitting for hours at the desk, grabbing something to eat on their way and ignoring the most important thing. Health! Take care of your body every single day.

You have this body to live in for the rest of your life so you better keep it healthy. If you are healthy you can do everything you want. Think of it this way…imagine your body as a crystal ball. Once it has a scratch, a crack or it’s broken there’s no way back!

An unhealthy body has limited actions. Sure, our body is an amazing thing and can heal itself. Like a small injury.

But, if you don’t pay attention to that injury it may develop into a serious problem that your body won’t be able to heal by itself. And even if it does you may remain with problems for the rest of your life.

This is one of my favorite quotes …and you know why? Because Van Damme is right. You have this body you live in and it’s up to you to take care of it. And exercising it’s a good way to do it.

Every Day Is An Opportunity To A Fresh Start. Never give up !

There are days when you just feel like giving up. Days when you feel like nothing is working right. Days when you can’t find a way, you get lost and lose hope that things will get better.

Days when the pain is so hard to take that you just can’t even stay on your feet. You just want to run away as far and as fast as you can or you feel you want to give up on everything. Don’t ! Don’t ever let go! Never give up!

You feel like you can’t do it anymore but you can! You didn’t come here  to give up! You came here to live and do something with your life.

Life is not always pink! It’s not easy and sometimes it’s not even fair!

Maybe it’s your stressful job, you worked so much but you have nothing in return. Maybe it’s your partner, your children, some kind of illness you are fighting with or you are suffering from the loss of someone dear. Or maybe you just want that hand to hold on.

There can be so much emotional pain in someone’s life that they feel overwhelmed and think of giving up.

Do you really want to give up? To be defeated and just throw everything away? Life is a gift given to you so you need to hold on to it!

There are people in this world who are living and enjoying life as much as they can. People who are happy and successful and you…YOU can be one of those people!

Life is short so don’t give up just because you are afraid to try. Don’t dwell on past failures. Learn from your past and your mistakes.

Sometimes there are moments when you are down and nobody notices. Some people are indifferent. Some don’t realize or care. Don’t think of them…you have all you need to move on.  With time you will find good friends who will stay by your side.

Each day is a chance!…an opportunity to a fresh start ! So pick yourself up because you didn’t come here to give up! You try, you fail, you try again! And when you hit bottom…the only way is UP! So stay strong and live your life to the fullest. Never give up!

Get out in the world, do what you love, screw up, try again, screw up again, don’t let go, don’t give up, try again and succeed! Live and love each and every moment of your life!
